I gusta these sites
These are in no particular order. I’ll get around to sorting them at some point.
- Smashing Magazine: Pretty much the designers’ resource
- Ffffound: Great gallery of inspiration - interesting art, objects, and design
- Faveup: Gallery of design - some good, some not so much
- Etsy: Buy and sell all things handmade
- Foodzie: Like Etsy, but for food
- Fred Wilson: He’s a venture capitalist in NYC - lots of finance insight
- Marc Andreessen: Entrepreneur and start up coach. Founded Netscape. Bajillionaire.
- The Cheap Revolution: Startup advice on the cheap
- Don Dodge: Technology and business insights
- Brad Feld: Another VC - Based in Boulder, works with Techstars
- Guy Kawasaki: VC at Garage Ventures. Talks a lot about Alltop on Twitter, but his blog is better
- Seth Godin: Marketing guru and unbelievably quotable. We share a lot of the same views on marketing
- Joshua Porter: Social web design and interaction design blog
- Mashable: Digest of everything going on in the technology world
- Startup Houston: Houston is up and coming. Seriously. These guys are great.
- Apartment Therapy: Sometimes a little noisy, but great interior design stuff
- Grassroots Modern: Ahhh… Modern design <3
- Freshome: More modern design stuff - this blog isn’t based in the US, though - so sometimes it’s just a tease
- Materialicio.us: Did I say I love modern design? I do.
- Jennifer Plesko: I designed it and I’m sorta related
- Aaron Presley: He wasn’t cool enough to get the dot com version of his name, but he’s cool anyway
- The Bloggess: Jenny is all kinds of insane, but hilariously awesome.
- The Superest: Hilarity in illustrated form. These two guys battle by drawing a super hero that can defeat the previously drawn superhero
